AUTSA

Governance & transparency

How AUTSA is governed, our founding documents, and our commitment to openness and accountability.

Constitution & governance

AUTSA is incorporated as the Auckland Student Movement at Auckland University of Technology Incorporated. Our constitution sets out the structure, roles, and responsibilities of the association and the Student Representative Council.

Annual General Meeting

The AUTSA AGM is held annually and is open to all members. It's where we present the annual report, elect auditors, and make decisions about the association's future.

2025 AGM

Wednesday 30 July · 11:30am – 1:30pm · Hikuwai Plaza

Live DJ, free food, and prizes.

TKT & AUTSA Memorandum of Understanding

A Memorandum of Understanding between AUTSA and Titahi ki Tua (TKT), building on the existing relationship as tangata Tiriti and tangata whenua. This collaboration strengthens AUTSA's foundation in Te Tiriti o Waitangi — partnership, protection, and participation.

Student Representative Council

The SRC is an elected body of AUT students covering executive, academic, campus, and community portfolios. They set AUTSA's strategic direction, approve budgets, and ensure student voices shape university decisions.

Compulsory Student Services Fee

The Compulsory Student Services Fee (CSSF), also known as the Student Services Levy, contributes to funding student services, buildings, and facilities that students use. AUT invoices students for this fee at the same time as tuition fees.

AUTSA receives a portion of the CSSF to fund advocacy, events, clubs, Tautoko support, and other services for AUT students.
