Academic Student Representatives

ASRs are AUT students volunteering to represent students at a school, major, and year-group level. They provide feedback to programme and school staff to ensure the academic experience at AUT is upheld and continually improving.

How does the ASR model work?

ASRs operate across all four faculties: Business, Economics & Law; Culture & Society; Design & Creative Technologies; and Health & Environmental Sciences. They dedicate at least two hours a week during semester to:

  1. 1Reach out to their year groups for issues and feedback about programmes.
  2. 2Meet with school staff to pass on issues and feedback on their cohort's behalf.
  3. 3Meet with their SRC Faculty Representative to escalate feedback to faculty level.
  4. 4Refer students with outstanding academic issues to AUTSA Advocacy.
